Three Feet From Gold short story
Three Feet From Gold
During the gold rush, a man who had been mining in Colorado for several months decided to quit his job. He hadn’t struck gold yet, and the work was becoming tiresome. Frustrated, he sold his mining equipment to another man who resumed digging where it had been left off.The new miner consulted with an engineer who informed him that there was gold only three feet away from where the first miner had stopped digging. Sure enough, the engineer was right—the first miner had been just three feet away from striking gold before he gave up.
The Moral: When things get tough, remember that you might be closer to success than you think. Persevere through adversity, even when the work becomes difficult or tiresome. Push a little harder, and you’ll achieve your goals
